Honestly, I was happy that Strauss died in the season 8 finale. I was also disappointed that Blake didn’t die. I wanted there to be a cliff-hanger ending where she was still in danger.

I really liked the episode of Alex and her husband. I was so happy for her when he agreed to stay with her. It really kind of fleshed her out and provided this sweet foil to Hotch and Haley’s relationship.
I love Blake. I may be biased since she’s a linguistics expert and I want to be a linguist, but I really like her. She’s not really angsty, and she’s believable as an agent.
Alex and Strauss are my favourites. I understand why some people don’t like them, but all the bashing I see makes me cringe.
I think I dislike Blake so much, because we know so little about her and she was just “there” from the beginning. With others characters (Emily, Seaver, Todd) we saw their “first steps” within the team, but when Garcia & Morgan came back from London, Blake was already a “fully integrated” part of the team. I really think this bothers me the most.
I tried so hard to like Alex, I really did. But I’m ten minutes into “The Silencer”, and I can’t stand her. She’s so arrogant and annoying and I want her gone already.
I really don’t get why people hate Blake so much. Maybe it’s because I am new to the fandom and entered with S8 but I like her. I like Emily too though. I just like them all.
I feel like Blake never smiles. She just hasn’t connected with the rest of the team. Yeah, it took Prentiss a little bit too, but Blake could at least pretend to care about the others.
